On Your Way

Daddy Teddy: We miss you already even though we just dropped you off at the airport ("Zelda discovers the aeroport"). I know that some moments are a mixture of many things: joy, frustration, wonder, sadness, delight, reality...and some days are not ideal, not how we wished we would have spent them, stuck between the dirty dishes, exhaustion, and fights about things that are not important. But they are still our days, our moments, our mistakes and our triumphs, and i am glad for them all. Thinking of you with much love, Una and Momma Ra.

Furry Feet

I bought these slippers for Una when she was still in utero. They were on sale for 10 bucks and i couldn't resist, because they reminded me of the furry slippers my aunts had when i was a wee child. Still a little too big for her, but she liked them a lot. She's a silly girl. She's also 15 months old today.

Holiday Fun

Yesterday, we had a very social day. We started out skyping with Nana Sally, Grandpa Tim, Aunt Belle and Uncle Jemiah who are all at the Lake. Then we went to Kenan and Serra and Isaak's house, and Alex joined us. After that, we went to Jesse, Chelsea and Judah's house to celebrate Chelsea's birthday, which is actually today. They had a big crawlfish boil and shipped in live crawlfish from Louisiana. It was real southern style. At about 6:30pm, Una officially lost her sh*t, and completely melted down. Time to go home! Poor baby, it was a bit much for a wee little girl, but she woke up as happy as a lark this morning. Happy July 4th everyone!

Books and Broom

Just a typical day in the life of Una which consists of taking EVERY book off the shelf and helping mommy sweep up the floor around the high chair. Una loves the broom. It's all part of my secret plan to get her to like housework. Hee. Hee. (Although, she doesn't look too happy in the above photo, she's really just practicing her part for Cinderella.)
