Booties

Well, how quickly we move from shaking our booties to making booties. i've been on a bit of a knitting frenzy (in between studying for my Boards to become a licensed landscape architect) as i have a number of lovely lady friends who are expecting. these little gems are so damn cute and easy to whip out in a few hours. I'm just glad i graduated from making scarfs.

Honeymoon

Our belated honeymoon, which has now become a babymoon, finally came and went with a fabulous trip to Mexico. We flew in to Cancun and took a bus south to Playa del Carmen where we stayed for 4 nights. this was a great place to land and spend some time on the beach. We also went on a day trip from here to Chichen Itza, one of the wonders of the world.

The rest of our 6 days was spent another 40 mins to the south in the smaller town of Tulum. This place was so lovely and packed with great beaches, excellent food, ruins, cenotes, and a hopping little town. we soaked up the sun and the 80 degree weather which is such a treat being a resident of the pacific northwest in the winter.

515 NE Royal Court

One of our many projects of 2008 was the remodel of 515 NE royal court. the actual construction began in May and finished in October. We feel lucky to have had such a great team: our architect, Adrienne Goodwin of ConstructDesign and Matt Thomas and Marcel Schmaedick of Modern Organic Construction. We highly recommend both Adrienne and Modern Organic Construction who made the whole process a great experience. Check out the results for yourself:
