Fog

After and evening of intense lightning far away on the horizon that never reached us, a morning of fog rolled in upon us. Such a contrast to the sparkling sunny mornings that we've enjoyed so far. The fog soon burned off and left us with our warmest day in quite awhile. Summer weather...now there's a concept.

We've been having lots of fun and some excitement here at Turtle Lake. Anne and Jemiah joined us on thursday and left today, though they will be back again this thursday. One day was of particular note. It began with Judy tripping over a root after a sail with Anne and Jemiah and busting her lip. She's fine, but now sporting her best Angelina Jolie look. Later, Una got a couple of big splinters in the heel of her thumb and, as jemiah heroically pulled them out while she screamed to high heavens, Fanny saw her chance to pounce on Una's Fox finger puppet and almost completely swallowed it. Luckily, the fritos Sally threw on the ground in front of her were more appetizing. She is a fox terrier afterall.
