Hey! i woke up this morning and there were no trumpets, no ticker-tape parade. What's up with that? mom and dad are great and all, but i sure do miss you, nana and grandpa!

One of many amazing gifts that he has shared with me over the years is his ability to see and appreciate beauty in the most unexpected places. It reminds me of what's really important and keeps me grounded and present. i also like the idea of the combination of two seemingly incompatible elements, and the beauty that may well result.
